A timid cat holds its tail down between its legs and usually has a wary look in its eyes. It will
also probably run away and hide when confronted with a stranger. Cats are not usually timid and if
your cat suddenly demonstrates any of these signs, it could be due to a sudden change in its routine. If a kitten is timid, it may be that it has never become accustomed to people.

How to help a timid cat

 Reassuring Touch
Slowly accustom the cat to being touched. Stroke and speak to it softly Reward it with a little food.

A Refuge
A sheltered area, such as a covered bed, helps a timid cat to feel secure and gives it a refuge when it is scared.
