American Shorthair silver tabby where a love of first site for me. I so the pictures of them for the first time on those Whiskas food cans and bags. Yes, American Shorthair silver tabby cats are the face picture for Whiskas cat food. But then I also visited a cat show in San Diego with my girlfriend and couldn't stop dreaming about them since then.
I searched and contacted probably every American Shorthair breeder in USA and found out soon that to get a cat like that is not an easy process and sure is not that quick as I thought it would be. But I didn't give up. My dream was to get one of those silver tabby! So, I got on the line for kitten, which I had to wait for several months. But also I checked many retired American Shorthair silver tabby cats because I really loved the idea that I can see what this cat is looks like when he is an adult.
I remember how I used to look at the little picture of my ideal American Shorthair silver tabby cats on the business card of the breeder I choose. I wanted light silver tabby. And so I finally got one! We have to drive up to San Francisco area to pick up my first American Shorthair silver tabby kitten. I named her Tisha. Here she is:
Tisha came from a Placer Cattery. Carolyn Lyons is a wonderful person! And actually she is an international judge and travels around the world a lot! She has beautiful home and cattery! I highly recommend her Placer Cattery if you are looking for an American Shorthair silver tabby.
Our Tisha has very nice, calm personality who like freedom most of all. Actually she prefers one of our bearded collies more then us humans :). But I don't mind it at all. She is a beauty like a snow white and I enjoy just looking at her and also I have our other cats for petting if I want to :).
Tisha was born in 2008 on February 15th.
